Personal Profile:
A master student at California Institute of Technology (Caltech) in Electrical Engineering and he was also an EE and CS double major at UCIrvine. He is the President and Founder of IPC@UCI, expanding the club size from 5 to around 200 members during his presidency. His research mainly focuses on the cross area of machine learning, robotic control system, semiconductor, and VLSI, where he published 4 conference papers and a book chapter in prestigious venues like IEEE, ACM, SPIE and IOP. He was also awarded IPC scholarships for more than 6 times.

Position Summary:

The IPC Student Chapter Program will select one (1) individual to represent the IPC Student Member body to the IPC Board of Directors. The Liaison will speak on behalf of all IPC Student Chapters and IPC Student Members to assist the IPC Board of Directors in making decisions pertaining to the Program and/or its members. The individual should be knowledgeable of the current student chapters, individual and chapter requirements, and the day-to-day management of their student chapter. The Liaison will act in the best interest of the IPC Student Chapters and its IPC Student Members.

Application Process for 2024:

  • November 17: Deadline for Individual Applications which includes letter of recommendation from Chapter Advisor
  • November 20-22: Reviewing applications and creating ballot (depending on the number and quality of applications received)
  • November 24: IPC Student Members and Advisors Vote
  • December 4: IPC Board of Directors Select Liaison & IPC Notifies Individual
  • December 6: Announcement of the new IPC Student Board Member

 

Qualifications:

  • Current IPC Student Member enrolled through December 2024
  • Serve currently or intend to serve in a leadership role at an IPC Student Chapter
  • Cumulative and semesterly/quarterly GPA over 3.0
  • Exhibit leadership, initiative, professionalism, dependability, and enthusiasm
  •  A valid passport to travel internationally without restrictions and ability to apply for the necessary visa(s), if necessary and/or applicable
