IPC Emerging Engineer Program

Overview

IPC launched the Emerging Engineer program in 2016 to provide professionals early in their careers an opportunity to learn from the dedicated industry volunteers who participate in standards development. Through this sharing, our valued leaders will mentor IPC Emerging Engineers and provide them with the tools they need to continue standards development for many years to come. As Mentors they will also have the opportunity to ensure their projects carry forward while they help build the future.

In 2020 the IPC Education Foundation started to support this program and launched the IPC Emerging Engineer Apprentice Program to allow students to benefit from this program as well. There is a limited number of student positions available! The IPC Emerging Engineer Program is a 3-year commitment, but due to balancing academic commitments, students entering the program will commit to participate for 1-year. 

Past Emerging Engineers

Krystal Li

Krystal is a fourth-year electrical engineering student at University of Pennsylvania.

Tyler Wilson

Tyler is a student at Asheville-Buncombe Technical Community College pursuing his electronics engineering degree. He is a technical trainer at Kearfott Corporation. He became a CIT in IPC J-STD-001, J-STD-001SA and IPC-A-610.

Hannah Nelson

Hannah is a Valparaiso University graduate and served as the IPC Board of Directors Student Liaison in 2022. She now works as an Application Engineer at Texas Instruments.

Henry Crandall

Henry is currently a Ph.D. student at the University of Utah studying electrical engineering. He served as the IPC Board of Directors Student Liaison in 2023.

Palash Vyas

Palash is an Auburn University graduate and now works as a 
Component Reliability Engineer at Veoneer.

Dylan Grace

Dylan is a Valparaiso University graduate and is now pursuing a PhD in optical sciences from the University of Arizona.

Mohamed El Amine Belhadi

Mohamed is an Auburn University graduate and is now a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Auburn University.

Adeniji Babalola

Adeniji is a Texas Tech University graduate and is now a Global Warranty Analyst at Cummins Inc.

Raj Akula

Raj is an Auburn University graduate and is now a Manufacturing Engineer at
Sienna Corporation.
