IPC Student Member Scholarship

 

Name: Aaron Filip

IPC Student Chapter: Michigan Tech

Personal Statement: "Receiving this scholarship gives me the ability to experiment and go beyond the confines of the classroom and lab. I will use this scholarship to pursue further interests in electronic physical design by experimentation through components/tool purchasing. This combined with the resources already offered to IPC EF chapter members will allow for preparation and practical application of skills required by industry upon graduation."

Name: Anna Browne

IPC Student Chapter: Michigan Tech

Personal Statement: "This scholarship demonstrates that the printed circuit board industry is changing drastically, and that it needs college support. I am happy to accept this reward in order to show to the members of my chapter that the PCB industry is growing and is a viable industry for all engineers to be involved in. I will utilize the funds by helping with my tuition, so that I am able to focus more of my time on being the President of the Michigan Tech IPC & Electronics Student Chapter."

Personal Statement: "The IPC Scholarship will be a wonderful help to my focusing on my studies. As a non-traditional student, I have worked nights to pay bills while studying every day. This has been a challenging road, and the IPC scholarship will help me to forgo nights of work so I can more completely immerse myself in becoming the best engineer I can be."

IPC Student Chapter: University of Maryland - Eastern Shore

Personal Statement: "Thank you for selecting me as one of the recipients of this scholarship. I am a senior at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore, graduating in May 2020. Upon graduation, I plan to work full time while pursuing a master's degree in Cybersecurity. This scholarship will allow me to pursue my educational goals and worry less about finances. This investment will allow me to one day be able to give back and help other students reach their goals."

Personal Statement: "I would like to sincerely thank the IPCEF for selecting me as a scholarship winner. This scholarship means so much to me, since I have to work to pay for school myself. The money from this award will go straight to paying my tuition next semester, so I will have fewer student loans to worry about in the future. Thank you again for this generous award."

Personal Statement: "This scholarship confirms that all the sacrifice that I am doing to get the best of my education is worth it. Personal Statement: "I appreciate being awarded this scholarship because it shows me that IPC cares about students getting involved with IPC related industries while still in school. I plan to use these funds to help pay for education and living expenses so I can continue my internship in the electronics manufacturing industry."

Personal Statement: "I am incredibly grateful to receive this award because it will allow me to worry significantly less about the financial strain of my next tuition payment, as well as put more time toward other activities outside of work. I will be able to focus more on job searching, starting our school's IPC chapter and working on projects in IEEE & my fraternity. Personal Statement: "I am so thankful to IPC for awarding me a scholarship when I need it most. I am a student from India, who is managing higher studies on education loan. It gets difficult to manage funds with only a part-time job. I also look forward to actively participate in IPC events and hopeful to get IPC APEX EXPO student support as well."

Personal Statement: "This scholarship reinforces my passion in electrical engineering, and will enable me to enrich myself with further knowledge in this field. My aim is to use the scholarship funds to take additional classes in the coming semester, mainly in PLC's & Electronic circuit boards. I would like to use the funds to learn the design and manufacture process of circuit boards, and electrical components."

With this scholarship, I will use it to help pay for my housing arrangements for school as well as my textbooks needed for next semester. As a senior at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore, I will be able to use it toward my education for my final semester. This scholarship reward lessens the loans that I would have to borrow and will make it easier for my life after college. Upon graduation, I plan on starting a career as an electronic technician."

Personal Statement: "This scholarship means a lot to me. I will be able to buy development boards to improve my FPGA skills and purchase literature to improve my PCB design skills with standard practices. I will also be using the funds to pay for tuition at UCSD."

Title: Assistant Professor: Industrial and Systems Engineering and Research Leader, NSF Center for Advanced Vehicle and Extreme Environment Electronics, and IPC Student Chapter Advisor

University: Auburn University

Personal Statement: "I'm greatly honored to receive the Michael V. Carano Teacher Excellence Award. It has been fun working with my graduate students, preparing them to be pioneers in the electronics manufacturing industry. With the help of my students, we have published over 70 papers in the electronics manufacturing field. I'm so proud of what we have achieved, and this IPC award will keep me motivated in preparing more students for electronics manufacturing careers."
