Announcing the IPCEF Students Attending IPC APEX EXPO 2025!

The IPC Education Foundation is proud to support the next generation of electronics manufacturing professionals by sponsoring students to attend IPC APEX EXPO 2025. This year, we are excited to announce that:

  • Four outstanding students have been selected for the Emerging Engineer Student Program
  • Eight talented students will be presenting research posters and competing for a $2,000 Best Student Poster Presenter Scholarship
  • One exceptional student has been awarded the Student Technical Paper Scholarship and will be presenting his research at the conference

These students have demonstrated exceptional dedication to engineering, research, and innovation. Through the support of the IPC Education Foundation, they will have the opportunity to engage with industry professionals, attend technical sessions, showcase their work, and expand their networks at one of the most prestigious events in electronics manufacturing.

Meet the Emerging Engineer Students:

  • Malachi Macon – Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT)
  • Waad Tarman – Auburn University
  • Jonathan Spencer – University of Maryland Eastern Shore
  • Emily Daley – Michigan Technological University

At IPC APEX EXPO 2025, these students will have the opportunity to engage with industry professionals, attend technical sessions, explore cutting-edge innovations, and expand their network in the electronics manufacturing sector.

Celebrating Student Excellence

We are excited to recognize Attila Rektor from Boise State University, the recipient of the Student Technical Paper Scholarship. Attila, a PhD student in Materials Science, will be presenting his research paper, "Flexible Hybrid Electronics Created from a Multicomponent System of Electroless Copper on Laser-Induced Graphene." He will receive a $3,000 scholarship and a $1,000 award during the awards presentation ceremony on Tuesday, March 18. His technical presentation is scheduled for Wednesday, March 19, at 2:00 PM (Session 23).

The IPC Education Foundation is happy to announce eight students presenting posters at the IPC Poster session. Each student will be competing for a $2,000 Scholarship for Best Student Poster Presenter. Please join us on Tuesday, March 18th from 5pm-5pm on the Exhibit Floor or Wednesday, March 19th at 2:30pm for the Ice Cream Social to network with our poster presenters:
