The FIRST Robotics Championship Event was held from April 16, 2019 through April 20, 2019 in Houston, Texas. The George R. Brown Convention Center was packed with 35,000 attendees and IPCEF was invited to exhibit in the Innovation Fair.
We had a great time sharing the IPCEF mission and goals with every individual that stopped at the booth. This was a great opportunity to create awareness around our foundation and get students and teachers excited about hands-on learning about electronics.
We had the opportunity to connect with elementary and high school students, parents, teachers, mentors and a handful of company representatives. Of the students we spoke to, 100% were excited to hear about IPCEF, wanted to get involved, and asked to learn more about participation.
It was exciting to hear from students who want to pursue careers in the electronic manufacturing/engineering space and share how IPCEF can help with their goals. We can’t wait to connect with more students at future events! And the next one started today. Follow our Instagram to see the fun we are having in Detroit.
Download this 16-page booklet and your students will have a resource that explains the basics of electronics terminology. This resource helps students identify components, understand polarity, value, tolerances, and explains the differences between through-hole and surface-mount components.
